BFI London Film Festival: Northbank Pop-Up Film Experience
Launching especially for London Film Festival, a new immersive film experience is set to entice visitors to The Northbank area. This free pop-up installation on Villiers Street, just moments away from the Embankment Garden Cinema, will be open throughout the festival showing BFI archive film of The Northbank area, including the riverside, Trafalgar Square and Victoria Embankment Gardens. The pop-up also features the fabulous performer Jonny Woo and a stunning audio of his poem, ‘I Know Your Name’.
Brought to you by The Northbank BID, in collaboration with the BFI, the pop-up is open from 2-13 October, between 11am-8pm, and is set to be a must-see addition to Film Festival for 2019. Find the pop-up at: 35-37 Villiers Street.

Celebrate the diversity of Westminster’s community with performances from local poets, singers, dancers, drummers and comedians. The showcase is an opportunity to learn more about African, Caribbean and Asian history in the UK. A wide range of food will be provided.

On Thursday 24th October, 12pm-5pm, Northbank Business Improvement District will deliver a ‘Pop-Up Africa’ event, part of the Black History Month celebrations. Africa in the Courtyard will be held in The Courtyard at St. Martin in-the-Fields and will offer local residents, businesses and employees the chance to experience (and purchase a bit of) Africa without leaving the capital.
