Exercise is Medicine – Movement & Mental Health

There is an approximately 20–30% lower risk for depression and dementia, for adults participating in daily physical activity to make the case that physical activity is something that can protect mental health.

Extensive research shows that good social relationships and networks promote and are a protective factor for wellbeing and mental health.

Participation in regular physical activity can increase self-esteem and reduce stress and anxiety.

Join Chris Pinner, Personal Trainer & Founder of Innerfit on Thursday 13th June for a lunchtime workshop. He will help you toward a personal revolution, covering:

  • Understanding the mind-body connection (e.g. depression, stress/anxiety, cognitive performance)
  • Learning practical steps to improve
  • Committing to positive change
