Ice Cream Festival

Head to Covent Garden for a family friendly festival celebrating all things frozen from 22nd until 26th August in the Piazza.

Expect an incredible array of sweet treats on offer, including over 50 flavours of ice cream from avocado soft serves, granitas, teppanyaki-style ice cream to many more summertime favourites and frozen cocktails. Stop by and try some of the delicious and colourful scoops,
cones and tubs from the area’s most exciting and innovative establishments.

To mark the celebrations, Covent Garden has partnered with much-loved Morelli’s to create a series of six bespoke ice cream flavours to celebrate the area’s heritage as a fruit and vegetable market. The gelateria will take a delicious twist on fruits and vegetables once sold in the iconic Covent Garden Market. As well as selling new flavours such as Aperol Spritz, Praline, Chocolate Velvet and Banoffee Pie.

Exclusive to the Covent Garden Cool Down ice cream festival, some of the area’s favourite bars and eateries will be coming out to the Piazza and selling one-off, delicious offerings.

Avobar will be offering a limited edition Avo Soft Serve, whilst Grey Goose is serving Instaworthy delicacies with an icy teppanyaki-style ice cream cart in the centre of the Piazza; think refreshing, creamy rolls with delicious toppings and a Grey Goose twist. Adding a French twist to the festival Laduree will be bringing their infamous cart offering Macaron Glacé, already coined as the ultimate macaron ice cream sandwich.

Also in the Piazza Buns and Buns will be serving up an amazing selection of flavourful ice cream sticks, Petersham Nurseries will be serving the quintessentially British strawberry ice creams made from organic Haye Farm strawberries, and blended ‘ice-tail’ frozen cocktails and frosé will be on offer.
