Han Setto Sunday Brunch at ROKA Aldwych

Launching their Han Setto Sunday Brunch menu at Aldwych, ROKA’s new offer is the perfect way to relax on Sunday, the menu includes a seasonal Bellini on arrival, an extensive selection of ROKA dishes and wine throughout, for £55.  The menu is also be available at £39, without wines.

‘Han’, a derivative of the Japanese word ‘gohan’, means ‘cooked rice’ or ‘meal’ and ‘setto’ refers to set menu. TheHan Setto Brunch menu, exclusively available at Roka Aldwych, is designed as an alternative for Londoners to the conventional Sunday brunch. Children under 10 eat for free, with a specially created Bento Box offering a selection of Roka dishes and fresh juice.

Staying true to the ROKA concept, dishes are designed to share. To start, a selection of dishes will be brought to the table; including the raw salmon, avocado and wasabi tobiko maki; beef, ginger and sesame dumplings and tomato salad with shiso and hijiki dressing; to name a few.

 

Guests will then select a second course from the robata grill or main kitchen; choosing from some of the favourites such as baby chicken, lemon, miso and garlic soy; beef sirloin, chilli and spring onion and sea bream fillet, ryotei miso and red onion.

The impressive ROKA dessert platter will then be presented to the guests at the table for their delectation; a meticulous arrangement of exotic fruits, sorbets and ROKA classics.

Sitting alongside the Han Setto menu are the specially created Japanese tropical potions inspired by the Yaeyama islands and will be available, priced at £8.  The cocktail list includes Watermelon Martini made with Ketel One vodka, yuzu shochu, elderflower & watermelon; and Nigori Colada made with Santa Teresa claro rum, nigori sake, pineapple, grapefruit & bitters.  For a health boost, Cleansers, including strawberry furimasu with strawberry, lychee, yakult & lime and green tea & passion fruit iced tea, are available at £4.

 

Han Setto Sunday Brunch is available from 12 noon until 8pm, priced at £39 per person, with Bellini on arrival; or at £55 per person which includes red & white wine throughout your meal.
