We want to make the Northbank one of the most accessible and inclusive of London’s areas. The BID’s CSR strategy encourages businesses to make a positive impact on the environment, local residents, employees and visitors.

There are a number of different activities that combine to deliver this message for the locality:

  • A shared vision statement and are all encouraged to sign up to a Northbank CSR pledge
  • Community, volunteering and wise-giving activities
  • Local air quality improvement initiatives that make a big difference for London’s environment
  • Our ambassadors – to be our people on the ground getting feedback from the community clusters
  • Support a network of employability providers and have brokered a number of employer/provider connections
  • The Northbank Annual Careers Fair
  • The Northbank Wellbeing Series: workshops and seminars around creating and identifying a healthy workplace
  • Charitable activity to those unique to the Northbank area

All of our businesses, regardless of their sector or size, recognise that their employees or customers are their greatest assets to business growth and competitive advantage. And what is clear is that most candidates new to the job market are increasingly seeking employers whose ethical values match their own as well as to provide opportunities to motivate and harness their skills.

If you have ideas that you would like to discuss about how we can help your business develop better local community links, please come and talk to us.
