Start Date: December 30, 2017
End Date: January 01, 2018
Here is the latest information on the areas closed and the timings of these closures. The reopening times will depend on how the event has gone and how busy central London is. Some roads across both the blue and green areas on the map remain fully closed for the New Year’s Day Parade, for example, Piccadilly. The advertised re-opening times for roads not involved in the New Year’s Day Parade is 06:00, those involved in the Parade 18:00. This, however, is a guide and some may be earlier.
In addition, TfL has now updated their website with information on a wide variety of public transport. For the full and up to date detail on each of the tube stations use the information on: https://tfl.gov.uk/status-updates/major-works-and-events/new-year-s-eve-2017#on-this-page-8
NEW: Two changes this year to Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. The TfL plan for these stations will see both fully close at 23:30, passengers will be directed to a wide variety of alternative stations on the night (Oxford Circus, Green Park, Holborn etc). Further specific information is available on link provided above. A reopening time will not be advertised as it will be assessed on the night.
