Art in The Northbank

Looking for a new artist to follow? You don’t need to look too far…

As a London based artist, Katherine Howard has lived and worked in the heart of The Northbank’s Villiers Street for over fifteen years.

Katherine paints with oils on canvas and exhibits across the UK and regularly in London. Last September (2014) Katherine curated an exhibition titled ‘Together’ at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery, Pall Mall, the focus set on some features which we humans share with other living creatures.

According to ‘Vogue’ and also ‘The World Of Interiors’, who have previously showcased her work, “Katherine paints stunning pieces. Her paintings of animal subjects and stylised landscapes are colourful, fresh and inspirational.  Her work is not to be missed”.

Always involved in local activities, she says “[The Northbank] is such a vibrant, exciting and fun place to live. It also has some lovely calm natural spaces nearby which help to keep the lungs of this wonderful city and its river Thames healthy. I am so very pleased that The Northbank project is committed, not only to protecting the natural spaces but enhancing then too. This will add balance to the attraction of the area, helping new wildlife to thrive and provide an even more wonderful and interesting place to visit’.
