RE – The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon
The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, an annual charity fundraising event, is due to take place for the eighth time on Sunday 11th October 2015.
The course map displays the route that the race will take. As you will see, the route includes a number of public roads that will be closed for the duration of the event and others in the area may be affected by these closures. Please note that the route has changed slightly from 2014 as a result of the Cycle Super Highway which is under construction along Embankment.
A further document in September will detail all the roads that will be affected during the event.
Road closures for the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon will be implemented from 05.00 – 07.00 and all roads will re-open no later than 15.00 on Sunday 11th October.
All of the street infrastructure required for the event including barriers, tables and signage will be both delivered and removed on the day itself, although South Carriage Drive will be closed all day on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October to facilitate the event build and de-rig. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens will be open to the public as usual during the event however users may be directed to different gates to access the Parks on Sunday 11th October.
