The Hilton’s visit to local St Clement Dane’s School

corporate-and-social-responsibility

July 22, 2015

As part of The Northbank’s aim to connect our local business community with raising the aspirations of young people in the neighbourhood, we were delighted to welcome Benjamin Deane, Food and Beverage Director from the Trafalgar Hilton Hotel to St Clement Danes C of E Primary School.

Ben delivered a superbly engaging and fun presentation to the young students presenting some of the wonderful highlights of his job.  There were lots of intrigued questions from the children about the strangest requests he had encountered in the hotel including one gentleman who had asked if it was possible to find a room for his pet tiger, where Justin Bieber could land his helicopter near the hotel and how he had spent the day hanging out with Tom Cruise at the cocktail bar!

We would like to thank the Hilton for their participation in supporting local, young people in developing an early stage insight into different career paths and raising aspirations as to what can be achieved to find satisfying and fulfilling work.

We would love to hear if you or anyone in your business would like to take part in introducing your job to young people or supporting employability skills for an older age group.  This could be help with interview preparation, helping to build confidence and awareness of different career paths or simply being a mentor to a local, young person wanting to get on in the world of work.
