Governance

How the BID is managed and area-wide ambitions are driven forward.

The Northbank BID Board is a representation of the occupier base in the BID.

Each member takes up the post of Director of The BID Company and represents the business community on their behalf. Board Members are re-elected annually at the company AGM. This takes into account business types, sizes and geographical locations.

The Board oversees the strategy and administration and spend of business money, as well as being a ‘champion’ of the local efforts.

Minutes from the last Annual General Meeting are available on request.

Five More Years Of Partnership For The Northbank

As you’ll read in the BID Proposal, the BID has worked as a catalyst for private-public partnerships, bringing Westminster City Council, Tfl, The Met Police and other key London partners to the forefront of the areas needs and ambitions, creating a direct link with the businesses. Between this partnership effort, the teams on the ground and support from the local community, The Northbank BID has achieved a lot in its first few years.

The BID team, led by specialist regeneration expert Ruth Duston, OBE, OC, will work with the local authority and other key stakeholders to deliver The Northbank 2023-2028 vision that was published in advance of the ballot being held.

Through consultation, businesses have asked for continued: placemaking, Cleaning & Greening, Community Safety & Business Resilience, Destination and Environmental, Social & Governance.

The northern boundary is Chandos Place, Maiden Lane, Tavistock Street and Carey Street. The eastern boundary runs along Bell Yard and Temple Gardens. The southern boundary runs along the Embankment from Northumberland Avenue to Temple Pier.
